2019 Snowbird Gathering

OK folks, one more time! By request, We will be going back to Ormond Beach, Florida again. It is a very good location for daily rides, on the beach and has underground parking, pool, fire pit and free breakfast. the dates are: arrive on 3 Mar and checkout on 7 Mar {which is the first day of "BikeWeek"}. Best Western, Castillo Del Sole, 206 S Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, Fl 32176, ph 386 672 6711.

Price is $112.50 per day tax included. These are very good rates for something this close to BikeWeek as their prices jump to about $170 as we leave. I'm not a computer wiz so there will not be a sign up list, just leave a post on the site indicating that you are coming and/or signed up at the motel.

We will take a day for the DeLeon Spring St park for the pancake breakfast special (make it yourself at the table) and ride out to Destination Daytona to visit the Harley dealer and other various shops which are many. Another day to ride up the AlA coastline to St Augustine, Fl for a visit at Old Town, the old fort and lunch before heading back to Ormond Beach.

Another suggested ride would be thru the country side to Renegades on the River along the St Johns River, a short ride outside of Crescent City, Fl for lunch and more country riding back. And remember that you can ride or drive, we don't mind as it's all about the friendship with others.

If you are referring to prior or after our get together , it's the best time of the year for the keys! We went there last year as a group and the weather was wonderful! Hope to see and meet you at our get together which is a few days before Daytona Bike Week ! Tomg

Just a reminder that our Get Together ends the first day of BikeWeek. This means that there probably be other bikers coming in before we leave so it's better to make your reservations and cancel if you're unable to make it than wait until the last minute and find "no rooms left" . tomg

Yes where you live, but not Ohio . We will have to trailer down to Sanibel & hope stay a couple months.

Better start looking now as prices start to rise along the coastline about the 3rd week in January getting into prime season for snowbirds coming down and short time stays as well.

Hopefully those new grandchildren will hold out and let you enjoy a trip to Florida! I would recommend making reservations as you can cancel if needed but might now get a room if you wait too long. Remember that it's right up to Bike week and rooms get scarce . Tomg
