Parts for 08' staillion

Hello every one,

My name is Thor.

I just got an 08' stallion and the cd radio CDX-M60UI, does not work.

It acts as if it is not getting power.

I checked all of the fuses.

It is getting power and will intermittently come on and then go off.

it does not matter if it is in the mounting bracket or not.

Nor does it matter if you move the wires around.

If there is a fix for this please let me know.

Or if some one has a replacement for it also let me know.

2nd, the lights for the PSI and the volt meter don't work.

is there some one who has replacements for them I would like to know.

Lastly, can the air shocks be upgraded?

Any help will be welcomed.

I would suggest there's an intermittent open in the wiring. This can be darned hard to find and correct. To correct, you may have to adopt what I refer to as the Columbus approach - seek until you find. Had a Goldwing with something similar. There was a poor connection between three wires that would make and break whenever I hit a heavy bump in the road. Just got lucky one day and touched the right place - rewired the connection and the problem went away.

Thor the radio might have an internal short. It is a standard Sony radio so you should be available. I would replace it.

The readout panel has a tendency to short out when it gets wet. Also check the plug behind it to make sure the plug is in firm. The panel should be able to be purchased from Motor Trike as I believe they used it on other applications not just the Stallion.

Now the shocks are a different issue. They are not air shocks. There are separate air bags on the axle that can be replaced with after market ones. There is a post on the forum from someone who has all ready done it. The coil over shocks are only available from Motor Trike. They are made special for them by Progressive shocks.

If you replace the radio or the controller, make sure they are compatible as when I changed mine to the CDX M6OUI, I had to get another controller even though the cables were the same. There's a Bluetooth model which connects and works but was not available when I did mine and wish it was! Hope this helps! Tomg
