Rear differential oil

I have a 2015 gl 1800 trike lehman monarch ii with straight differential, and i need to know what amount of oil it need and if it is recommended to put mobil 1 synthetic 75w90, it has 3000 miles only. Thank you.

If your conversion was built after 2013, it has a Champion Axle. I would suspect 75-90w synthetic would be suitable. I don't think it is necessary to change the oil with only 3K miles. I would make a change at 10K and if you keep it longer than 40K, change it then also.

Thank you Lee, i know it is not time to change the differential oil but i want to put synthetic as i do with the engine, i am mechanic but i wanted to know the opinion of a person like you who has broaden knowledge about trike lehman.again thank you very much.

Lehman Trikes used several differential throughout their original production. The differentials were either greaseable or sealed. Unlike the shaft drive wet differential version (used in shaft drive motorcycles), the belt drive rear differential is mostly exposed and used chassis or wheel bearing grease.

It is depending on the specific rear axle you have whether or not it is greaseable.
