Okay ... a little background. I've never been a fan of the EITMS system, so, I've always had the bikes tuned to disable this.
The new to me 14 Ultra Limited needed tuning so I downloaded the DynoJet canned tune for my configuration and did the auto tuning. Bike runs great and gets like high 40's on mpg at 80 mph. So Alan is happy.
Lately we've been in the high 90's* or low 100's* and I noticed yesterday that the bike was running a little rough at idle at lights. Nothing radical, just a tad rough, like maybe it had an aggressive cam, which it doesn't. I checked and sure enough, the EITMS was enabled and active. I left it that way and I must say, the bike doesn't do the jumping around, feels like it's gonna die thing when it's active like my 07 ultra did.
Okay, so here's my question. I know the EITMS system on the 14 and above's is supposed to come on at like 80* or 85* ambient air temp regardless of engine temp and I'm okay with that. My question is did MoCo do some work on this feature and make it less annoying, or did DynoJet modify it to make it better. Suppose it could just be that I'm getting older ... and didn't notice it's running bad ... LOL.
