3 times recently, while turning corners, my FW lost all power.
Dealer says BCM programmed wrong. Programmed for 2 wheeler not 3.
Says "roll over" kicked in and shut off all power.
Ummmm, ?

I’ve herd of that happening to others. Why ?

If it was shipped from the factory like that seems to me your dealer needs to make this right

[[[ Your dealer is a friggen moron.Under your seat, mounted under the frame cross support is a sinister little box.It contains a little ramp, a ball bearing and electrical connections. If the bike tips over the ball bearing rolls to one side or the other and trips the circuit shutting off power to the ignition and fuel pump. This is called a Bank Angle Sensor. If an event occurs "TIP" will display on the odometer. To reset cycle the ignition on and off.The only repair is you replace the box and oddly make sure the correct length fasteners are used. You can test this by using a strong magnet while the bike is idling.Oh-find a new dealer.
Well, I don't know....I've had the bike since new and it's happened 3-4 times... I don't know the exact conditions of each experience other than turning a sharp corner. i.e. hot? cooler? RPM? etc.
I've rode about 200 miles since dealer tinkered with it, and it hasn't happened... but I'm not going so far as to say "problem solved".
This bike has been into service a dozen times for a whole host of nagging problems... I think I need to take others advice and find a new dealer.
Thanks
A dozen times to the dealer for problems is nuts. Did you buy it from that dealer or was it a private sale?
I got lucky with my 2017 FW as it's 1 of the good ones. After the 1,000 mile service at the dealer I got it from in CA, it has not needed any corrective maintenance. I do the routine maintenance myself.
I have got a couple of errant trouble codes, but they clear & go away, so I decided to log them down & forget about them after discussing them with my chosen dealer here in Missouri.
I'm lucky in that we have 5 dealers in less than a 40 mile area, so I get to be picky as to who gets my business.
Do you have more than 1 local dealer?

Yes I purchased new and yes there are quite a few dealers in Chicago. The one I purchased from and return for service has been very disappointing.
For example, the shifting lever (peg) has stripped out several times.. The manager says "nothing we can do about it...it happens all the time... In fact we have some bikes strip every month"... I asked is there any aftermarket fix? "Nope"...
B.S. as several aftermarket firms provide and guarantee a perfect fix... the list goes on and on... ugh!

I'm told this is very common... in fact, I see several companies make an aftermarket shaft and lever. ( Baker... Pingel etc) The spline strips out easily and you find yourself stuck in whatever gear you happen to be in at the time. My dealer tells me to carry a replacement with me on the road.
They redesigned the shifter for the M8 in 2017, knowing it was problematic.
I have seen YouTube videos on it being a problem & to keep an eye on it for tightness.
UPDATE: Here is a HD tech, John Maxwell, covering your T/C shifter problems at about minute 3:45 of this video. Very good information on how to fix a common problem.
This guy has taught me a lot.

I recently took my heel shifter off to adjust it so I could actually use it & I ended up taking it all apart & putting Loctite (blue) on all the bolts. By the way, that heel shifter is nice when adjusted properly.

What is this dude spraying on the inside of the air filter cover to clean it? What is he spraying on the gasket? I can't see the labels on the aerosol cans.

I had to have part 31 replaced on my Freewheeler while I was out of town. The service tech told me that would not have happened had my dealer checked the shifter during the service which was done less than 1,000 miles prior. I now take it to another dealer and I do check the shifter frequently.
