Why can't a Nivomat shock be used on trike kits? This would provide the same result as the Accuride System but without the complication. I have it on my Suburban and it works great? Just a thought.

well said Mike, good question for Road Smith. I did not get the Accuride, first was the additional cost, secondly, I felt there was a greater chance of failure with the added system. Those were my thoughts at the time, I wanted to get the best 'fail safe' trike I thought was out there with out the add on's. The last thing I wanted to do was have to take it back to Daytona for some failure, that trip is no fun, and hang around the shop all day. I know 'stuff happens', but I wanted to minimize it if possible.
I talked with the owner during one of my visits to Daytona when I was doing my conversion search, he said back in the day when he was developing the RS, he instructed his kids to take the prototype out in the woods and try to break something, if so, then back to the shop to do the fix, then back to the woods for a test run, that was his R&D. I had no reason to doubt his story, so RS was my pick. I know the thing looks well built when I get up under it.
Tried to send you personal message but system would not allow.
Anyway, I think the Nivomat would be wonderful as standard issue on a trike even though they are more expensive. That said the cost is less than the cost of the Accuride System.
I agree on RS being tough. All of my issues were caused by installer and RS stood behind the trike and worked with me to correct. Can't ask for more than that!

Mike, any time you care to PM me, you can use bikerbillwms@yahoo.com, yeah, I'm one of those that appreciates the RS too. I've heard the horror stories about bad builders, sorry you were one of the victims. RS made it right, so good for them for stepping up.
