I run my vent hose down, some vents run up and over. The vents are 1 way, so no oily mess should go the opposite direction. I hope this helps
Do you have a catch can or a vent filter....or both?

Probably because it's EPA related. I could put mine back to stock in 5 -10 minutes if needed.
It sure runs better & my oil analysis was great. The K&N air filter helped too.

IMO as long as we are collecting the oil and not dumping it on the ground our engines are polluting less since the oily water mess is not getting reburned
How ever with taking our bikes outside of how they were originally built will be a legal problem and void our warranty

Kind of what I figured Ma EPA overreacting again! With a well designed system all that escapes to the environment are warm vapors....oil & water will condensate inside the collection vessel. I have a dipstick to monitor level, when there's enough water I'll pull it out for my morning coffee & use the oil in the chainsaw!
Burning it up in the FW motor is just plain wasteful!

Just a thought, inspection & repair shops may be bound by reporting requirements on some of these alterations

It promotes fast build up of carbon and creates a glaze on cylinders
Over time the carbon build up can change your compression ratio a bit and cause flash over of spark along with higher cylinder pressure = pre ignition from hot spots across the top of the pistons, this can also lead to detonation the engine killer JMO

No, no pictures. I would go to our vendor, DK Customs. They have information on their website.
I am just not comfortable giving info on what I did to my trike in this case, cause it might not work for someone else.

Rumors are the 114 engine has a new design oil pump and o ring to combat oil sumping
If true I wonder if this will be a retro fit for the 107 and will warranty and ESP cover it?

I 100% agree with you on our FW. I do think that improving the linked braking system to work with either foot or hand actuator will help a lot of people with disabilities.I kind of wish they would have left the extras off the Freewheeler

A little puzzled by these torque numbers, always read the M8 107 developed 110.6 ft/lbs, where does the 117 come from?
"The Tri Glide Ultra and Freewheeler now feature the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine, which delivers up to five percent more torque over the M8 107 (123 ft/lbs vs. 117 ft/lbs)"

I’ve had a DK Customs engine breather kit on my 2017 Freewheeler for over 10k miles and I am convinced that my engine runs better (and perhaps cooler too) for it. Based on SOTP only no hard data to support my opinion.

Remove hose from T fitting and replace with clear hose from hardware store.Drill hole in prescription pill bottle cap for hose.Drill 1/8" hole in cap for vent.Stowe behind filter element. Cost:free as I had the stuff laying around.Empty about once per week.
