New England tt rally 2019

Well, all hope isn’t completely dead. Swing arm came in for another trike taking up lift at shop. Once they get that on, they can roll it off lift and get mine up there. I made sure they know I need it by end of day Wed. We’ll see.

On another note, yes, that is Mrs Bozo, Dianne, on Facebook page for Northeast. FYI Howe’s Cavern is not walker accessible.

No problem, I don't think everyone wants to go to the mines but there is a big center there and down the street there is a Indian Museum. Karen doesn't want to go down into the caves so if you want to go yourself, there will be enough people who are not so Dianne won't be waiting alone.

A friend and his wife are joining us and I know they will not go down, both are NASCAR fans so Dianne will have someone to talk to to keep her busy.

For those last minute procrastinators, the weather starting on Thursday looks to be fantastic for the Northeast Region Trike Rally starting this Thursday. Thursdays temps look to be in the upper 70's and low 80's, low humidity, and no rain. The rest of the weekend will be in the mid to upper 70's, can't ask for any better weather. Of course for those of you that are traveling on Wednesday the weather is predicting scattered thunderstorms, this will be the third rally where the weather has been the same.

The hotel may have rooms available so if your thinking of attending last minute, give them a call.

See you all on Thursday afternoon.....

25 years of owning my Wing 4 batteries ,10 oil changes, new alternator brushes,

1 set of rear brake pads. 2 sets of front brake pads, 2 rear tires, one front tire, and a speedometer cable. That’s it.

John, OlBandit still here, lol. I have not made any plans for 2019 yet, so better get cracking, oh yea Poconos would be an awesome place

Ha Ha, at least you now know what it feels like to ride with a bunch of Harley folks, not many others can say that. For now we will think of you as a "Want To Be", lol. Stay safe my friend.

Bill with "that" in mind, I honestly made an appointment to test ride a tri glide, this week.....let's see, But it will take a lot to get me to change my mind  Again, I had a wonderful time riding with you folks at the rally! It was hard work pushing/pulling all the Harleys for the day, BUT sometimes hard work, does have it's good moments..:clapping::clapping:

LOL

I want to try one some day also.....the only problem is CT vehicle taxes. A Triglide no matter what it's age would be taxed at the full value, a conversion is taxed at the base price of the bike since they don't take into consideration of accessories which a trike kit is. When the time comes to change my residency to Florida I would consider a Triglide. I am curious how a straight axle Triglide compares to my straight axle Goldwing conversion. I haven't ridden any of the independent rear trikes of any brand.

Doug,

I haven't ridden a straight axle, trike either, only my independent shocks....Some day, I'll try a different model........

ps: I never even thought about the extra taxes involved with a Tri glade......Hmmmmmmm interesting thought (thank you) :clapping:

Speaking of Triglides, got a call from my shop that's going through mine with a fine tooth comb. So, aside from fork leaks, the neck bearings need to be replaced. And just called today to say front springs are only 1/4" from being bad, so I told him to go ahead and replace them. It is 151,000 miles on it. Now the fun part. Go ahead and guess how many pairs of Triglide specific front fork springs are located ANYWHERE in the continental USA....

ONE PAIR. In Nevada.

Other items wearing. The clutch hub teeth where it syncs with tranny. Not a shocker. This one went 30k miles more than my 2-wheeler for that. Bushings that rear brake pads slide on. Only one side of pads was moving. Of course, HD doesn't stock TG brake pads either.

It's going to ride better than new when done. Maybe someday I will actually be able to take it to a rally.:qpnmt:

Andrew,

It would be great to actually see you on a trike, Your our main man when it comes to TT.com, and it's been two rally's in a row I see you w/o three wheels.. :xzqxz: LOL

Hope all goes well with you and the trike...:)

Ronnie

If you guys want to ride a nice trike that handles and rides smooth try a Roadsmith IMO I would say it has to be one of the best ones out there. Over the I've work on just about every brand trike out there and the Roadsmith is light years ahead. That being said I'am into Hack's but if I ever got a trike I would say it would be a Roadsmith. I work on a lot of Harley and I hate to say it Triglide no for me. The one Harley Roadsmith would be the one. JMO

Peter, why didn't you join us, we were just up the road at the Acra Resort the weekend before Labor Day. You don't have to stay there if your local. Come join us on Facebook, Northeast Region Trike Riders and meet the gang. I'm a part time resident with a seasonal site in Athens and regularly shop at Hannafords in Cairo. It sounds like you have a shop in town, where is it?

Hey, Ronnie, did you see me wave as I passed by on the way to Chicopee the other day? I waved on way back through Springfield also.

When I got on ferry Tues morning, a coworker saw the 2-wheeler with Bozo on windshield and a pink flamingo on back (best TT rally door prize ever). He “assumed” it was me. Lucky guess.

If I were to get rid of my DFT Gold-wing 22 years old ( don’t even know if they still make them ) I would go Road-smith. Not sure what bike i would go with. I saw a 2003 Honda Valkyrie trike it was hot with a Roadsmith. Guy bought it 6 mo ago for $9,000

Doug I'am down the street from Hannafords Across the street from the Town Hall. Its the green building with the orange door I'am in back down the driveway. Being working on bikes for 45 years, one man band. I don't do FB . You are welcome to stop by anytime. Bikerbozo stop by a couple years ago that is how I found out about TT

Peter, sounds good...our weekends are coming to a halt pretty soon as my camp closes the end of the month but if you are there this Saturday the 14th, I'll take a swing by. I think you can see your shop from Rt 23 as you come around the corner and head up the mountain, or is that another shop.
