Trike is 90 Wing---have extra tall shield, suggestion for better gas mileage?????
On my GL1800 I had noticed my mpg had dropped alarmingly to 26 although I was putting a “drop” of StarTron in with every new tank. It had been 32-33 if I kept the RPM mostly at 3000.
I tried a couple of tanks of high-test gas - no improvement on mpg.
On advice of some good techs here I dumped 4 oz of Sea Foam into 1 tank of gas....improved to 29.
I am on the new tank of gas and have dropped another 4oz in....have not ridden enough miles on this tank to fill up and check the mpg to see if it has come up..
Additionally, in the next month I hope to be changing the air filter. I’m sure the original owner never changed it. Bought the trike at 22,000 miles and now have 34,000 on it. I live in an extremely dusty environment here in Midland TX and I’m hoping the air filter change will give me another couple miles of mpg.
Hope you have success with yours.

It's a 4 hour job to change the air filter on the wing ... it's why lots of people don't change them that often. Very common to be really dirty and sometimes there can be "moister" in them which turns the dust to mud.
Here's what mine looked like at 32k on my trike.
Not sure if you can see the "moisture".
It was so "clogged", it took the ECM about 20 miles to adjust to the new air flow. I also did spark plugs and my MPG's jumped to high 30's, even got 42 mpg on a trip one tank.

Hello and welcome to TrikeTalk, glad to have u with us.
Have you done a carb sync on your 1500? It helps greatly and it will run better. At one time they offered short windshields for the 1500, I guess they didn't sell well.

I have a 200, 1500se with a champion kit, if I run 3000 rpm I will get 34 or 35 and I have a tall wind screen.
I had a 91 goldwing and 32 was all I could get out of it, had the carbs worked on 2 time, new filter, and after all of that it got 32mpg, how would have thought it would not help. ( it was a 2 wheeler )
