Article: Roadsmith Trike Conversion for 2018 & Up GL1800

Oh yeah, RS has been hard at work, they've done a good job, I like it better than the CSC, love the fender design, great integration profile. Gotta read more about it, when that's available.

Looks great so far. When can we expect to see running boards?

Also, what modifications does the front end require? (Rake kit?)

Thanks MHGoldwing: We are planning on running boards - ones you can stand on if you really want to. We'll post pics once they are complete. For the front end, we are replacing the entire lower fork assembly with one that reduces trail. Quite a bit more extensive than traditional rake kits, but it will do the job. We have tooling and casting complete on the new fork, just working on the final machining steps.

Exciting changes

I love what you are doing with the new model. I am in the market for a new trike and at the point of deciding on a new 2017 of wait on the 2018-19 version. The idea of the automatic is appealing as I get older. Great Job Road Smith and I look forward to seeing the completed version!

trike-9.jpgBeauitful job Roadsmith, great job, looks like a winner

But.........I would need to get one with a little "paazz".

Meaning, I would have to get one with "two-tone" paint, which I'm sure with

some creatively by the installer who has a friend in the auto body business could arrange.

Holy Christmas, I like it very much, the seat looks more comfortable, narrow at the front get it done. I like the redesigned fenders, bigger trunk door, wing guards, neat all around. Be glad to see the rider reports.
