Did not test ride (doc has not released me from my quad by-pass) but stopped at the harley shop and got a good look at a green one. Told the salesman I'd have to take my love jugs off my 13 to put on if I traded.
He said I would not need them because of the better cooling on the 19. I am not sure if a trade is in my fucture but will test ride one when doc says I'm good to go.

James, The salesman does not know what he is talking about. Every single Tri Glide runs HOT! It is likely that the 114ci 2019 is going to run even hotter! Salesman are not mechanical engineers and generally don't even know how to program the Infotainment system. Keep your Love Jugs. I have them on my 2017 wet head Tri Glide and would frankly not ride without them. They are not the end-all-be-all solution to our engine heat issues but they help a little and certainly don't hurt anything. Disclaimer: I am not a mechanical engineer so my comments are strictly conjecture from a longtime rider. I do however, stand behind my statement that salespeople generally do not know how to run the infotainment system let alone provide advice on engine heat management issues.
Dropped by the dealer today and checked the 2019s out. Did not test ride one (raining) but like the new features (114 engine, ABS and suspension). Had my favorite color (twisted cherry). At 37 grand, I guess I'll be keeping my customized 2015 for a while.
Test rode a 2019 today,the rear suspension in my opinion is hands down far better than my 17,engine performance is some better,since i didnt try a panic stop cant say on the ABS or the traction control,heat management was good overall they are nice but not nice enough for me to trade.Owe two years on my 17 gonna keep it for a while.
Just seat of the pants low end torque on my 17 felt stronger than the 114,but then again someone else may ride one and say the 114 is better,top end roll on felt slightly better but not a tremendous amount.It did seem just tad smoother but it had 4500 miles on it compared to mine with 12,500 miles.Just my thoughts, they offered me $28,000 trade in so that's $7000 less than i paid for mine and for $7000 i can do a ton of upgrades.The new rear shocks can be installed on my trike for around $800 if i install them.What i like about the new shocks is that i can adjust for two up or solo riding with a twist of a knob.So i will buy the extended warranty for mine and keep it in hopes for a Road GlideTri.
Steve. In my book, with 4500 miles on a supposed new trike, is used. Granted, the trike is used as a test ride trike. Your right, $7000 can buy a lot of accessories. Have you read the instructions to install the new shocks? You have to remove the trike body to install them. I'm sure you can get around that. What I like about removing the seat to adjust the shocks, is the 2 1/2 inch screw. I don't know how many times I've dropped that little Phillips screw. I'm with you on the Road Glide Trike.

If i do the upgrade on the shocks i will remove the body,would be a good time to give it a good cleaning.And from what i have heard its not that bad of a job.
