There are three long adjustment threaded rod type screws on the headlight mounting plate. To adjust the light up or down you will need to move the top screw while holding the black plastic slotted piece that looks like a cone with slots in it. You will need to hold that slotted piece to keep it from spinning with the adjustment screw (this was the part that took me a while to figure out for myself). If you turn the adjustment screws without holding that plastic slotted cone like piece you will be just spinning the screw and scratching your head. Once you master that move, you will have an easy time making any adjustment you need to make. I found the left right bottom two adjustment screws can be adjusted with the hood down just sitting on the floor, but the top adjustment screw can only be adjusted with the hood up. I parked it in front of a brick wall and counted the bricks to see which way it was moving.

Good luck, let me know if you found this usefull.

May I suggest you look at the price of a TRI-GLIDE or a Goldwing with a conversion. Even the fully decked out Spider. They are all in the 30+ to 40K range. Actually for what you get with a Stallion I think they are a deal. Now add in that they are a limited supply. Not many available.

    Default Cruise Control Fixed...

There have been previous discussions with problems with our Stallions cruise control and I thought I'd share mine and what it took to fix the problem. My cruise control simply failed while on a ride. First thought was a fuse, as there was no indicator (no icon lights) that the cruise was activated or engaged on the instrument panel. After checking the manual, I believe it gets power from the same circuit as the turn signals (fuse #20). Since my turn signals worked, I knew that wasn't the problem. The next area I investigated was the blue/white cruise control disengagement switch which is located at the end of the brake linkage. Without a lift, it's very hard to see and work in that area but I managed to get the back end of my Stallion high enough with a couple of ramps. The switch was very difficult to remove from its mounting bracket and to disconnect the wiring, due to a cross member that just HAD to be in the way. But after I wiggled and pried and pried some more, finally I managed to get the switch freed from its bracket. (What a pain the the a$$).

The switch failed to make contact once the button/plunger was slight depressed after checking it with an ohmmeter. No continuity. The switch is normally open (button/plunger not depressed). The new switch, which I had to order through Advanced Auto, (cost $20) was a same as the old switch with one exception. The length of travel for the button/plunger was at least 3X that of the old switch. This necessitated me bending the contact tab on the brake linkage forward quite a bit even to remount the switch. After going a test ride, the cruise control did engage and is working fine again
, however I need to fine tune the tab adjustment on the brake linkage by bending it a slight bit forward still, as it takes too much brake pedal travel to disengage the cruise control. It should disengage with a slight tap on the brake pedal. I hope that I won't have to revisit this problem again. As a precaution to premature switch failure, I surrounded and packed the entire switch with plumbers putty ($1.00 investment) being careful not to affect the movement/function of the switch.

Hopefully what I did will provide a bit of weather proofing and a bit of protection from road debris.

    Regards,

    Default Cruise Control:

What are the possibilities of just cutting some off the plunger on the switch. I had to bend the tab a bit on mine a few years ago to get it to engage. Otherwise, it has been trouble free.

    Trikervet,

I considered that, but I didn't want to chance negatively affecting the switches performance. I had to alter the switch a bit with a file to get it mounted. I guess I didn't want to press my luck, if that makes any sense. I can disengage the cruise control with the off switch vs the brake pedal till I get around tweaking the tab. The disadvantage to that is that I lose my prior cruise setting each time I power off the cruise control.

I believe you are stuck with them. My friend in the painting business has not found Stallion paints anywhere else. Can not even get the formula.

instead of buying new calipers which are built for the stallion at 250 apiece
I got a rebuild kit and went that way 20 dollars there are only 2 square rubber
rings and 2 regular o rings for each caliper. I found both cups on the bottom
calipers had a lot of moisture in them.
