    Ben-o,

I am sure my drill bit did not nick it, as they are stored in a Kriptonite safe when not in use! I even double checked and they are still in there!!!!

I also understand the current administration is considering this safety measure for all drill bits in an effort to cut down on the rising drilling problem, in addition to micro-stamping all drill bits, and the requirement to report the theft of any drill bit within 72 hours or face a maximum of 5 years in jail! Aaaaa the sweet smell of socialism......

Hi group, The factory dealer in Daytona updated the headlight on MJ's Stallion. Russel did a beautiful job can not tell it was not orginal. Made a big difference in the lighting situation. They also updated the volt/air pressure switches and readout. The first several Stallions that part was not water proof. That also went great. Russel check for the issue with the bolt rubbing on the A/C tube. MJ's are not even close to rub. MJ's luv'n her Stallion and we are just delighted with TBMS customer service.

I had the stallion out a week ago and the brakes were failing. I got it home and the brake fluid resevoir was almost empty. It is located under the left side just in front of the rear wheel. I filled it, put it up on jack stands and had the neighbor push the brakes while I checked for leaks. The proportioning valve block was leaking out of a valve on the front. Blackburns trikes in Ohio had to get a new proportioning valve assembly from Texas. They picked up my trike with a trailer and fixed it the next day. The old assembly was aluminum and new one looks like it is bronze. My stallion has 2500 miles on it. I got it last August.

New problem - hose clamps loose
Went to leave friends house, saw puddle just inside right rear tire. Turned out to be antifreeze. Hose clamp was loose where rubber hose attaches to transfer pipe. Checked all the rest of the clamps and they were all loose, some were only finger tight.

Brake switch acting up - Went to go for a drive today and I could not get the trike out of Park. I remembered reading about this problem on here. I pulled the brake switch off, it was dry inside. I put dielectric grease around the case where the two halves meet and I packed the electrical connection with grease, put it back together and it works fine. It looks like these brake switches are going to be a continuing problem.

I also put the trike up on jack stands took the rear wheels off and tightened hose clamps that are behind and at the top of the wheels, they were loose like all the rest.

Scooter, I also removed the switch and put tape on it to help keep water out. Careful not to interfere with its movement. Ted

    Vibration / Wobble Update

Last year I posted that I had a high speed wobble in the front end around 75 mph. TMS said to tighten the front wheel bearings. I did this and the scary wobble was reduced to a vibration in the front end at 75 mph that quit at 80 mph.

This past week I put "Ride On" tire sealant/balancing compound in all the wheels. It made the vibration turn into the very scary wobble at 70 mph.

I removed the front wheel (owners manual has detailed instructions) had the goo removed and the wheel balanced. He actually removed the factory installed weights. Test drive - it was back to vibration at 75 mph.

Still not happy, I pulled the back wheels off, had the goo removed from them and balanced. One wheel was fine with no weights. The other had to have 7 1/2 ounces of weight to balance it. Test drive - smooth as silk way past the legal speed limit.

The place that balanced my tires thinks I have either a rim that was never balanced at the factory or a tire that should be replaced.

I'll post later about the tire or rim when I contact TMS

    Several new issues

Just completed a 2700 mile trip. Overall the stallion #349 performed well. I rode through heavy rain for 500 miles and trike sat in the rain overnight. Rained from Summerville SC to Parkersburg WV, the trike stuck to the curves on I26 and I77 like glue.
    Several minor issues to report

    1. In the rain the voltage and shock pressure gages quit working - TMS has a fix for this already.

    2. In the rain the remote commander stopped working

    3. In the rain left foot got soaked, right stayed dry. I think the water is coming in through the brake pedal slot

    4. After sitting all night in the rain the cruise control would not engage until things dryed out. Suspect switches inside steering wheel got wet when sitting.

    5. Temperature control valve is sticking and only moves occasionally. Currently stuck on max heat.

Working with my dealer to resolve issues.

Yup. Check out some of the first posts. The Rain was reeking havoc on some the early Stallions, but TBMS had fixes for all of that. Check the distance between the break and the brush stuff. You may have too large a gap. I am putting matts in mine soon. I just cut the patterns last night. That can solve a lot of the water on the foot. Hang in there, once you get it fixed it should work like a charm!

    Scooter,

The cruise issue is possible not coming from the steering wheel. The earlier Stallions had a problem with the brake light switch getting water in it and shorting the contacts. Most people found out they had a problem when their brake lights quit working. This switch also has a set of contacts that control the cruise control. This switch is under the trike on the left side of center just in front of the brake master cylinder, on the rod that goes back to the master cylinder. It is a little confined, but you need to remove the pin that goes through the post that the switch rides on. Pay attention to how it is put together on the post so you can re-install with out issue. Once you have the switch off the post disconnect the plug and make sure there is die-electric grease in there. This kind of grease helps to keep the moisture away from the contacts. Originally TBMS was telling their people to open the switch and put grease inside, but this did not help so they quite doing that. What I did before I put the switch back on the post was cover the plug area on the switch, with a couple layers of electrical tape starting on the switch and worked it up the wiring to help keep water from getting into the plug area. Make sure your tape does not interfere with the movement of the switch operation. I also had to replace this switch at the same time. I got one from NAPA for under $20. After putting the new switch in with the die-electric grease in the connector then my tape job we never had another issue with this switch. And we went through a lot of rain.

Just something to check. If you wait until next time it happens look and see if you have brake lights or not. If not then the problem is where I stated and not the steering wheel. Personally I would suggest you investigate the switch and not wait. It's not good to drive without brake lights.

That whole left side module sounds like it needs replacing. We had the same issue and TBMS replaced the whole module.

there are 2 DIFFERENT switches at the master cylinder, the blue & white one is for the cruise control, mine has gone out 3 times and each time I took it to Troup, Tx to TMS to get it taken care of. all of this in less than 3,000 miles.

my problem was not water or rain it was dust. I live on a dirt road and must travel 1 mile to get to paved road. the last time the guy in charge of the Stallion, JD, tried coating the new switch with a rubber spray to make it dust/water proof, seems to be working.

I NEVER lost my brake lights, I was always able to take the trike out of PARK.
I only lost the cruise control, nothing else. VIN # 537 with ABS plastic.
