'Member the old 3 speed english bikes? I fearlessly rode one of those down a L-O-N-G, steep hill in my neighborhood pedaling as fast as I could in 3rd gear. Not sure how fast I was going but I probably would have lost a lot of hide before I slid to a stop if I'd have fallen. You ever do anything this dumb?

(Years later when I was in high school, there was a kid that drove his bike across a sewer lid that he expected to be there but wasn't. He walked around school with a bunch of scabs on his face for a month or more. His parents allegedly sued and got the kid a whopping amount of money. Bet that company was a lot quicker about getting their barriers up in the future.)

When I was in high school I rode my 10 speed down a mountain fast enough pedaling in 10th gear I was passing semi trucks and cars. Would have been bad had I had a tire blowout.
