coolant temp sensor

im new on here and need some guidance. my 88 honda gl1500 has the symptoms discribed in other posts as a temp coolant sensor failure but has a different part number and different location than 1990 and above. does anyone know the part number for the 88 sensor?

Original number is 37760-ML7-003

The replacement number is 37760-MT2-003

It is in the bottom of the Left Radiator.
