23Rd Americal / 2nd/ 1st reunion

​Went to my first Reunion this pass week. It was 23rd Americal / 2nd Battalion 1st Infantry. My unit was B Co 2nd /1st of the 196th LIB. I was there 71/72 and was the only one from my year. Most of the B Co 2nd / 1st were 68/69 that were in country together. Hope to attend more in the years to come and maybe find some of my old buddies that were there at same time as me.

I had some contact with members of my unit after my tour in the 221st Avn Co, Soc Trang, 69-70. Reunions were a thing that didn’t happen. There were no more than 135 of us in the unit at a time. A web site was established and then we were able to track and contact each other. A lot of the members are no longer with us due to the ills of Vietnam.

I was with Co. B 23rd S&T in Chu Lai 71 until the division was deactivated the to DaNang with the 196th until Jan. 72
