My wife and I met up with some friends today for a scenic ride and lunch. That's my bald head in the back across from my Freewheeling honey. We had a good weather, ride, food and fun.

Today I finished up the 500 mile break in on my 21 Freewheeler
I will be changing the primary and tranny fluid tomorrow, I have Redline in stock, I am pretty sure there is Formula + in the primary and tranny now
In the mail today Hog sent me a $50.00 gift card for being a life member. The card is good for 1 year ,good @ any dealer for any purchase.

I remember when you were always told to change the oil/filter at 500-1,000 miles on a new engine. I always did that and the oil looked terrible. These new cars, the dealer tells me you no longer need to do that. It may be a waste of money, but I just went over 1,000 miles and I want to change it. On my 2004 Honda Element at 2,500 I changed it to full synthetic & then changed it once a year, but I only drove 7,000 miles a year, as I drove the bike/trike.
I bought 5 quarts of Mobile I 0w-16 oil and a Mobil I filter.
I'm just having a hard time with leaving oil/filter on a new car engine in for 10,000 miles. I guess I should not sweat it, as it has a lifetime warranty.

My dad, the best true mechanic taught me early on to keep the oil clean.
I still do it. I do not care what the owners manual says, I do not believe the non sense of going as long as most state. Heat, short drives, and dirty intake air all affect the oils health.
Keep the air filter clean is a must, but I fear too many slack on this one also. JMO

I installed my DK Customs convertible lift kit on my 2020 Freewheeler. Thanks molokaimike. Those shock bolts were a pain because of the paint in the threads. I haven’t had a chance to ride it yet after the change.

Changed taillights to blacked out leds. They flash three times before going solid brake light Also much brighter and look better. Had to add load equalizers to stop computer codes. All are working as they should. I used the ones from Eagle Lights.
Today @ 560 miles I changed my primary fluid( filthy) and Tranny fluid
I can confirm the 21 models have a clutch basket adjustment ( like prior cable clutch models) behind the derby cover. Also the new ( I don't like it) adjustment on the cable.
To me HD outsmarted itself once again and went cheap.
This is supposed to be a better set up ( it is easy, not better IMO for fine tuning the friction zone.)
More miles will prove or disappoint IMO

I changed the primary and tranny to Redline last night.
Big improvement over the Formula+ from the factory
I have some HD 50 weight Dino oil I will use for the finish of the break in miles
It is in the 90s, cooling off to the 70s @ night time now, the 20/ 50 just doesn't cut it in this heat

I changed my derby cover screws to chrome button heads, I dunno why the MOCO still goes cheap on these @ the factory, it makes the whole primary cover look bad with the factory torx screws

I noticed a difference in the steering with the lift kit. I noticed a bigger difference, however with different bars (I put the Harley Reach bars on). All I can figure out is that they place your hands further away from the pivot point, giving you more leverage....
YMMV

Here is an update to me selling my trike to Durango HD.
They received my FW and where very happy with it's condition, setup and accessories.
It sold the next day to a lady so she could ride with her husband & his Triglide.
She was very happy.
