I got all done with the lube changes. On my warm-up ride I went to my dealer (Doc's HD) to get a derby cover gasket.
I figured I had never changed it and would be nice to my baby. They only sell it in a kit with the 3 drain plug "O" rings, which I don't need, as I bought a 10 pack from the hardware store. Doc's gives me a 10% discount on everything, so it was only $5.50
Back home, after pulling the plugs, I pulled the cover and the gasket looked great, then I remembered that it got replaced at the end of the year during the clutch recall. Oh well, now I have a spare & I got a cup of coffee out of the deal.
The drain plugs for the engine & tranny looked great, along with the Lucas oil, the primary plug & fluid looked nasty.
I guess it's the material from the clutch plates.
They had all the new colors on the showroom floor & I like that denim red.
They also had a used 2017 (black) with 725 miles marked down to $21,000
Overall, a fun day, but storms are coming tomorrow, so I will have to wait till Saturday for a test ride.
one other thing, I could never see the Lucas on the tranny dipstick, it was hard to read...That is not a problem with the Redline.
