I went out to start my trike and when I turned the key on it makes a hissing sound, no lights, no radio or anything. I know the battery is up because I have a charger on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Put a meter on the battery, if 12.7 v and doesn’t drop below 10 v when starting , check connections. No lights, no radio = no juice!

First is it a charger, Or a maintainer....And how old is the battery...

I think it is the maintainer, I put a charger on it and the lights work, might be time for a new battery.
Will a battery go bad just all of a sudden? I got it started, let it run about 15 minutes and turned it off and now nothing.
Put a voltmeter on your battery
Start with 12.7 volts= full charge
Turn on head lights if volts drop below 10 and do not recover when light is turned off your battery is bad

OK so what battery do you guys recommend? I had a interstate in it.
Walmart.com had the Yuasa YTX20L for 79.99 and free shipping, might check there and see.

Good to know.
I took the interstate battery out and put on a 20 amp charger for 24 hours and the needle didn't move. It just wouldn't charge.
