Welcome back Paul, I can't help with your engine question though.

Thanks for the heartfelt message Lee, seriously as you have been a long time TT friend.
I won't go into or debate any of the religious /philosophical sides of things, I have spent way to much time there already and have found ( absolutely nothing ) that makes any sense. There are no answers.
All it has brought is analysis to paralysis.
I have been paralyzed long enough, I'm surprised I'm still sober.
Can you tell me more about that engine?
I am not putting it on my trike, It's on a chopper I'm looking at.
Block-long wheelies don't interest me but I would like to find out how they stand the test of time etc.

Most of the strain for the belt and chain is on the left side. As said above, the Evo primary is sometimes unable to handle the torque and strain and will allow the transmission to twist. The Torque Arm resists the twist and keeps the transmission where it belongs. It will also resist the twisting force presented by the Trike swingarm.
This is what I have on mine.

I don't keep in very good contact, do I?
Between being down sick as usual in the winter and working on the chopper I just don't think much about it?
Anyway, I'm just lacking a clutch cable before its ready to hit the road, You may not notice it but many changes have been made to the bike.
I haven't decided if I'm going to get a different tank or just re-do the sides with some graphics?
I need to build an old style sissy bar and I intend to put a front fender on it.
I have some accessories to put on it and will need to find some decent saddle bags etc.
Yes, its an outlaw but this is the type of bikes I built in my misspent youth.
I haven't gotten started putting the new engine on my trike yet and I'm going to have Ron at cycle works help out on that same as he helped me on the chopper.
The young fella is a mechanic as opposed to a parts changer and I trust him.
God, I hate gettin old, so if I'm to have a second childhood it's time to stop muckin around about it!

Nice looking ride Paul!!!
"I don't need a map. I still have a road in front of me!"
Glad to see you're feeling better and working on a project Paul. That Ultima engine will wake you up in a hurry!
The handlebar and seat change should be easier to ride for sure.
Are you gonna actually ride hard tail this upcoming season?
I love the look but don't think I could personally take the pounding that hard tails deliver, any more...
Isn't it weird that in AMERICA, our flag and our culture offend so many people...but our benefits don't???
I doubt i will do cross country, That's what my trike is for but I plan to ride that chopper allot.
I put the shock absorbers under that seat but I'm beginning to fear they may be too stiff?
I actually haven't ridden it yet?

PAul,
Like you I lost my wife (cancer) and kind of went into a funk with good days and a dark period. I still have bad stretches now almost 2 years later. Traded the triglide we both loved for a Limited and in 2 years have put exactly 1800 miles on it. Wanted and bought a BMW convertible. Love the car but am ready to ride and tour again. At my age 66 I am leery about taking trip by myself such as to Sturgis. I won't think twice about going on a trike. Leaning toward a Freewheeler. If it ever stops raining I am going to demo ride both and decide.
I wish I had magic words to heal your pain or tell you that time heals. It doesn't. You just learn to cope. Not a day goes by that I don't think of my Terri. I have dated but none met the mark. One day maybe one will..... or not. The only advice I will give you is to be honest with yourself. Keep in touch with your friends. When you are ready to seek companionship is up to you. If I can help or just lend an ear, I am here to do that. No one knows unless they travel this road. God bless.

Thank's you're singing my blues, Steve.
I'll tell ya what if you head out Sturgis way I only live about 250 miles away in Casper, Wyoming.
I intend to roll a butt load of miles this summer, Not a solid plan but I pick a general direction and when I get to a major interchange out west flipping a quarter and doing a two-bit ride leads me to a lot of places and the length of the ride or time I'm gone is controlled by very few things and some pre-planning takes care of those.
gimmie a holler?
