2019 Rolling Thunder - Last one?

I have been hearing that next year will be the last Rolling Thunder 2019? I have been wanting to do this ride for awhile so guess I will be heading that way. Has anyone done this Memorial day ride? Looking for any tips, suggestions etc for the Rolling Thunder Ride? What made your experience good-bad-or great? Thanks

I did it a couple times in the early '90's. Was a blast. You need to be able to multitask. Looking at sights while paying attention to all bikes around you. I remember one year planning to meet up with a friend on leave from the Navy in the Pentagon parking lot. Don't know how I spotted him without a cell phone, but I did.

Sure thinking about attending, but will have to get closer to the date to be sure I can make do the ride there and back. Still hoping those who have been will offer some advice on attending, camping, etc., etc., etc. Already have spoken with my travel agent about an extended visit with the wife to see the sights and participate in the ride also, but that would entail me making the ride while the wife flies there and back - that long a ride on the back of a scooter just isn't her thing. Too, my mobility just ain't what it used to be.

will beee attending it this year. leaving from Zephyrhills fl have reservations already made. will be tent camping
