I bought a set of black/opaque hand guards from Memphis Shades because my bars put my hands above the faring. They do cut back on the wind that hits your hands (not all) and keep most of the rain off your hands. So far I am happy with them. They are easy to take off if you want to remove them for summer riding. I just leave them on year round.
check ebay, type hand guards for harley. i installed a pair of smoked genric ones for around 20.00, just had to slightly modify the one bracket on my streetglide.
^^^^ +1 and heated grips so inside and outside stay toasty.
I must be old .... I bought electric gear years ago and the problem is gone ...
Me too. I ride all winter so the cost is well worth it. If you only ride once or twice in cold temps, it may not be cost affective.
If I didn't have this set up, I would go with the Hippo Hands
I don't think rubber gloves over leather gloves will keep your hands warm for very long
