    Default Right Coasters Beware

All you folks on the right coast, hunker down ... looking like Ole Man Winter is not gonna be nice to you and looking soon.

My prayers go out to you all and be safe and warm.

(Substitute soft drinks for beer for those of us who don't currently drink alcohol...)

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA, our flag and our culture offend so many people...but our benefits don't???

I just started the snow blower so I know it will work......

    New spark plug

    replaced oil

and that baby fired right up Now were sitting here, with beer in hand @4:00 waiting for the first snow flakes to appear..... nothing as of yet!

BUT I am a snow skier, so my skies are ready, and ski clothing all packed, off I will go!

    Think snow!

When I lived in Massachusetts ... We got used to the Noreasters ... but now that I actually see sun shine in the winter ... I can't imagine 18" of snow. We had 15" in 2015 and we stopped dead .. the problem here is we have almost no snow removal equipment for the side streets .. the main computer route get plowed but that it. Never seen a plow on my street in like 47 years my folks or I have lived here. Also when we get that kind of snow it's usually followed by an inversion with highs in the 0* range. As you can imagine, the snow never leaves while there is an inversion.

Major storms in Massachusetts where rough, but, there was provisions for it, not so much here. When I tell people I live in Colorado .. they think I'm up to my b$tt in snow all winter. We only get snow like that once every 5-10 years, which is why we don't have lots of plows.

I do feel for you guys ... and wish you well.

Back in Sitka, when it got really cold we'd all huddle up around the open fridge for warmth.

Media out of control, Thats putting it mildly...They been scaring people since Monday' The problem is there are way too many weather stations/reporters so to keep their jobs they have to try to out report each other....The only good thing about watching the weather reports on TV is the weather girls....Especially the Spanish reporters...I don't know what they are saying, But they sure are easy on the eyes........

We have the same situation here.If I can make it the first mile to the main roads i'm good to go.They don't have much for snow removal here either.About half a dozen plows/salt spreaders for the county.
