My 2015 tri glide does not sit level.
Hi all, bought a set of DK comfort lifts and was going to install them tomorrow so I measured from ground to back fenders and the left side is 1in lower than the right side. I've thought for a while now that it was lower but just blamed it on my old poor eyesight. Guess I need to correct this problem before installing the new lift kit. I'm open for suggestions or if anyone has had this problem how did you correct it. Thanks, Robert
My 11 Tri-Glide came from the factory off kilter also, And my dealer leveled it out under warrantee...The body is held on by' If i remember correctly with 4 bolts and he realigned from there ...Originally Posted by Robk

After the drive belt replacement under warranty on my 15 Tri .... my trike sat level ... the dealer had to take the body off to replace it ... only time it ever sat level ...
HD has a whole laser alignment procedure for the axle and the body ... get it leveled before you add the comfort lifts ... especially if you have warranty left. After you put the comfort lifts on you may not have warranty anymore ... varies greatly dealer to dealer.
Is it possible the air shock line is leaking on that side?

Only 1 air line from the filler fitting which then Ts to feed each shock. A lead anywhere in the line(s) or either shock will deflate the entire system.
You can beat a dead horse about it....But its a factory mis-aliment....

Thanks all for the great information. I had no idea this was a common problem (thought I was the only one). I did take the trunk off about a month ago to install some new slip on's, did not realize it could cause this problem, so guess I created my on problem. Not sure if it was like this before I did that. I will retrace all my steps and try to correct this. Thanks again for your help and info. Robert
I had a 2016 TGU that had a difference off the ground from side to side in the rear of the trike of about 1". At the time, I didn't feel like it was worth the hassle to bring it into the Harley dealer and have the body leveled. My current 2019 TGU is within 1/4" of each other so I am quite pleased that you cannot visually see any deviation in height while looking at the back of the trike.
You could use these to shim the body bolts

The nice thing of the alignment shims is you just have to loosen the body bolts a bit to slde them in

Un-level trike
Had the same problem. I was using the rear fenders. DON'T. One fender was rotated forward by about 1/4". USE the frame to get proper measurement & I'll think you'll see the frame is ok. I just removed the fender, rat tailed out the mounting holes & now both fenders measure the same. Mine must have been "let's get out early" on a Friday bike build??!!.......jimmer
Jimmer, thanks for that info, would never thought about that, I was measuring from the fenders will do some remeasuring now
Anyone have pic's and step by step procedures of using the shims to level up the bodies ? I'm going to straighten up the back of this thing no matter what. Pretty shabby assembly from the factory.
