Does anyone here currently have (or formerly have) ownership or experience with a BMW K1200 LT with a Hannigan kit? If yes I would like to "pick your brain" for some information about this set up. TIA. Ken

I had my '02 converted in September. Here are some photos:
My conversion was installed by N E C E Trikes in Windsor, CO. Great folks, and excellent service. Contact me at: kenwimer@gmail.com.
Beautifuly looking bike Kenwimer thank you for posting the pictures....
I like too. I wonder if any one has ever tried to trike a R 1200 RT?
Yes, indeed! Go to the Hannagin website, to see the R1200 conversions. In my opinion, the Hannagin kits are a thing of beauty. My K1200 looks as if it came from Munich this way.
Thank you!
This is what the Blue one looks like now.

I have 2002 K1200 LT Custom consider to convert to trike by using Hannigans as long as I get approve on second mortgage, it will cost me $12,980.00. I contact them they cannot sell direct to consumer, I have to go to an authorized dealer they will have to install it. The cost is $8,795 for K1200 LT kit, shipping and packing to put on the crate is around $800.00 installation labor $1500.00, EZ steer, aux. fuel tank add up with all accessories it came out as I mention above, I forgot one thing PAINT TO MATCH my BMW $795. I hope I live that long to payoff my mortgage. One thing nice on K1200 LT it already have reverse, that why the kit is cost more than other bike.
Take a look at my profile album and you can see my 2000 Hannagan K1200LT. I have had it up for sale for quite some time. Just haven't pushed it (like it too much..). Mine only has 8500 miles on it. The conversion only has about 1000 miles on it. Let me know what you think .... the color is called "colorado red".
Weewilly
Nice looking ride weewilly... I found it necessary to abandon the BMW idea. I had everything lined up but when I checked with my local BMW dealer they said they could not, so would not, be able to service the bike. Next nearest dealers who would work on the bike are in other states, so I changed directions and ordered a TriGlide from the local HD dealer. Since BMW is coming out with the new 1600 I think there will be a lot of 1200 LT's for sale for conversions. Again nice looking bike... I was looking forward to adding beemer trike to the garage but that just was not in the cards for me.
Not to mention the loss of warranty on the bike, converting it to a trike!
A lot forget this, I did not and accept the consequences, should I have a drive train related failure on my Wing/Hannigan.
Unless your dealer sells trikes, very few invest in the lifts needed for trikes!
I do hope you enjoy your TG.

Dawg.... you make a couple of excellent points. I would think with all the "boomers" coming of age and the increased potential of trikers more manufacturers might look at this as an emerging market. Not saying all folks who ride trikes are old but... I am still waiting for delivery of the TG, and will use the two wheeler for my ride ride fix in the meantime.
