Has anyone here put hd mini apes on a 17 tri with faring mirrors already installed, reason I ask is my local hd dealer said with the mini apes and faring mirrors it may not work seeing from behind you any input?

I'm not a expert on trikes, but I have never seen a trike that had mirrors on the faring, had regular mirrors on the handlebar controls just like the 2 wheelers. I put 12.5 wild one bars on my 18, had the same bars on my 16 with the regular mirrors that attach to the handlebar controls. I could see where the fairing mirrors would be in the way, I'm sure you can put different mirrors on the handlebar controls, they must be plugged.
All for now Trampas
:good:Forgot to say in my previous reply, that the parts guy said that if I went to a 14 or taller I should be ok, Just was thinking out loud.
Congratulations remember you need to be happy and you alone. whatever works for you...:good:travel safe FredWent to the dealer yesterday and they removed the faring mirrors as you couldn't see behind you the parts guy told me weeks ago that if I went higher I would be ok, but to high wouldn't be feesable for me, so I went with the mini's that I had on my two wheeler and was comfy somewhat above the stockers. So it looks as though I will install the factory one's on the bars to see. Thought I would add the Update if anyone is thinking to do this ,ride on and be safe. I could see fine with the stock bars but not the mini's I put the faring ones on to clean up the trike.
