Avon trike tire

My info came from the Co. in England where they are made.

Gotta concede on this one & say you were absolutely right. Been watching the post for a bit & ended up reaching out to Sukoshi @ Avon this time around to "make sure". She confirmed that they absolutely do make the new Chrome trike tire for the 16" hd front wheel & said their website was wrong and they'd get it fixed asap.

I don't recall the specs for the old HD trike tire, but it kinda surprises me at how much deeper the tread is on the HD version in comparison to the 18" size offered for other trikes.

You might contact Kevin at DK ... I'm fairly sure he said, he just recently put a Avon trike tire on his 14 before he traded it. Not sure where he got it or off it was the new one.

The older style tire was also very deep.More so than the Dunlop.

I think my comment about tread depth was misunderstood (even more likely, I phrased it completely wrong). I was referring to the tread depth between the two Chrome trike tires offered (18" for Goldwing based bikes & 16" HD version).

I have not even seen the depth for the new style, just remembered the old was much deeper than a Dunflop. I like the old Avon I have on there & will not hesitate to get the new one when needed.

Started to look for a new tire for the TriGlide & can not find the Avon front Trike tire. What happened ??? Says discontinued.. Why is it every time a good tire , has great mileage, it is gone ?? Anyway, has anyone found another great front tire for the TriGlide ??

Hey Jr., I have found a supplier for the 16" Avon. They are starting to show up. Avon had the 18" out first . https://www.americanmototire.com/ has some decent prices. So does Dennis Kirk . We are in Florida last 6 weeks & won't be going home for 2 more weeks. When we get back I will get serious about getting one after I measure the tire on there. Hope you & Darlene are doing well & we will be back to TX in Oct. Someone has to keep you in line. lololol

I got mine from JP discount Motorcycle store also....BUT I didn't realize that they were discontinued .....Just last season, Hmmmm I now wonder how old that tire was when I received it..

There is a date code on the sidewall of tires.

Unfortunately I can't find the specs for the AV71 Trike anymore Have attached the spec info on the new Chrome series in 16 & 18 though.

I believe the specs are very similar to the AV7 if I remember correctly...
