I don't know how helpful this will be but in my experience I have regular grips on my 12 Wing and my brother in laws 14 has K and I have ridden his in cold weather, as recently as last week. I felt no warmth through his but mine get toasty warm when I need them. Just my experience and others may have a more positive one.
I put these on my 08 Trike ... they did take a bit longer to "feel" the heat, but it did get warm. I've got them to put on Jessica too ... Just haven't gotten around Tuit yet.
I have them on my 2012 Spyder RT which has heated grips. The heat still comes thru it just takes longer. You do have to modify the left one to clear the paddle shifter on the RT SE 5

I just installed mine on Jessica, took a rode afterwards and checked to see how long it took the heat to be felt. I turned them on when I left and about 3 minutes later, I could feel some warmth. At about 8 minutes or so it was as warm as they are gonna get. I like the size of the ISO grips with my little hands and have electric gear including gloves so it's not a big issue for me.
Has anyone tried their ISO grips designed for bikes with heated grips out of curiosity? They claim they work without any loss of heat (but we all know how "claims" can be! I don't have a dog in this one at all but I'm also way too curious for my own good.
