Fuzzy, you know its a done deal...I knew it from the first post, even before you made it your avatar.
You do what makes Alan happy, that's all that matters.

Welcome back to the dark side Fuzz she sure is a beauty and the fastest color not that I am biased LOL... Gosh that Harley is beautiful did I mention it's black to boot... Do what you have in your heart, and get those boxes of goodies out of the corner let the Mods begin LOL. Ride safe Fred
I like Black a lot ya kno...

I made it the Avatar to try it out. Talked to Keven today and his recent dealing with his 14 in trading gave him a pretty good insight to $$$ and cents .. he seemed to think it was a sound deal if the leak down test was like <3%. So we will see. He also made the case that with the ceramic, there would bee less dust sticking. I have noticed that on Jessica, she seems cleaner (Less Dust) since doing it. It seems dust settles on her in the garage, and "blows" off when I ride.
So IF I do this ... in the Fall, if I show up for the hill country gathering early or stay late ... you gonna be able to do the rake kit???? LOL
It's been my goal in life for quite awhile to make Alan happy ... for many years I went to extremes to make others happy. Now, if I'm happy and not stepping on God's Toes and tithing as I should ... I strive to make Alan Happy ... at 65, there isn't a whole lot of years that I have left to be happy.
The only problem ... you've already taken the name Ol' Shinny. Although, IF this happens, I am fairly sure she'll be named "Fat Bottom Girl 3" ... I'm sorry ... but ... when I look at a trike from the back ... that song plays in my head ... not to mention that it really gets lots of comments ...
To be honest ... not looking forward to modding again ... maybe I am getting old ... ... nah ... there is nothing more fun than taking something created for the masses and making it "fit" Alan. Although, it might be fall before I do the bulk of the mods ... wanna spend a big part of the summer ... riding!!!
Nice looks like it is mend to be!
“Come and Take It!” “Remember the Alamo!” “Remember Goliad!”
Congrats on the new 2 U trike and who may I ask is this one? The AMG Edition is gone? Looks nice and remember black trikes or bikes are hard to keep clean. I had a black GL1500 and in Florida it was always dusty dirty.

Fuzz, I love reading your threads, every morning over coffee, I'm looking. I'm thinking, yep, this is Fuzz's next ride, sure is nice. Make yourself happy, that's what it's all about. You have plenty of time to fiddle with the HD mods you want. Every time I read about Kevin's trips, I think, wow, how cool is that? Be sure and remove the anchor and put it on the TG. I'm sort of nuts too you know, I've lusted after the Canam Spyder RTL or the FGL, but at my age, probably not gonna happen, point is, I know how it is to think about change. Happy Trails, and I can only imagine how good the 'Fuzzy Threads' are gonna be, looking ahead.

Thanks, I guess I post about my mods because it gives me time to "formulate" a plan. Plus, if my doing the posts helps someone on the fence about a mod or maybe about a repair and the info I give helps ... it's a good thing.
I know what you mean about Lusting .. not trying to temp you ... but ... I considered this ... was also in the email from the sales guy

Gotta love the white. Just not sure I'd like the riding position ... to close to a sport bike for me ... they knees even though fake would not like that I think.
Okay .. so I did some praying about the whole thing.
Also did some bouncing of ideas off Kevin and Zook ... My largest concern was the noise ... Thanks to Tonka (Sold me his Pet Palace), I'll be bringing my little guy (the one eye wonder Yorkie) with me on a lot of my rides. He's never seemed to mind the noise in the pouch ... but ... I think on the rear seat or luggage rack, he might hear it more. Plus, Harley Quinn used to "load up and thrum" when at highway speed ... guess I'm getting older because I couldn't handle that.
Kevin recommended I put a set of these on ... said it would be almost as quiet as stock, but, still produce the power. The plan would be to do the de catted pipe, stage one air cleaner and these ... use the power vision to tune and then just ride it ... LOL.

I don't understand the science of the whole thing, but, Kevin has done lots of research on the making of HD power with his partner, so he does. LOL .. Kevin told me Devin runs these because he's all about power, and when he rides up to the shop, they all kid him about riding his Honda ... LOL.
So ... I guess the only thing left to do is have the dealer do a leak down test and see where we are ... Lord help me ... as Fearless said ... I might be headed to the dark side again ... LOL.
Me thinks the ultimate problem with all this many tradings of vehicles relates to the fact that you just like to “tinker” .
Once you get one all set up with all the bells and whistles then there is nothing left to do but ride.
Then the wonderful motorcycle dealer sends you a notice of yet something else that is available. Guess what? You get to thinking about all the stuff you could do to this vehicle. Oh wow! Now we’re back to tinkering mode. FIRST you have to take all the stuff off the current bike and store it - just in case you can use it on yet another purchase. Then you can make the deal and start purchasing stuff to add to the new vehicle. Then you get it all done and there is nothing left to do but ride.
Then the wonderful motorcycle dealer sends you a notice of yet something else that is available. Guess what?
Me thinks you need to open a motorcycle customizing business. You could work through this tinkering passion with that and make a couple of bucks at the same time!
Think about it.
New course heading Mr. Sulu: ...2nd star to the right and straight on til morning...!!
Scooter and Sassi....2 furrever.
Some of that is true ... and another Harley will certainly facilitate that ... LOL.
But here is the rub. When I lost the 15 Tri in the Bankruptcy, I was devastated. that was my "forever bike". Never thought i'd get another one. If this one checks out ... I think it will be like coming home.
Another issue with two wheels ... that I'd forgot was resolved by three ... when it's cold here .. I worry about frost ... on the tri I never did ... might slip, but, won't fall down.
Anyway ... If this one doesn't check out, I'll probably ride Jessica for the summer and start looking again in the Winter. I think there is a Tri in my future.
Is your dealer related to P.T. Barnum???

Alan, I would say Yes, go for it. You already know all about a Trike. It sounds like a good deal, and you like the dealer. So why not ?

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
I have decided to take this to the next step, The dealer is going to do a leak down test and I'll go from there. We are also "negotiating" an after market warranty. We'll see ... Since riding season is sneaking up on us quickly, I will either be riding Jessica or the Tri. If this Tri has issues, I'll start the process over in the fall again.
Fuzz, we all get to the age of 'three wheels', if you can work this out with your Harley guy, go for it, you will be in your comfort zone, and there's nothing wrong with that. There are some out there that think 3 wheels takes away the 'manhood appearance' thing, it does not, it keeps you riding.
