Security Siren

I'm trading my 2017 TriGlide in on a 2019 Tri-Glide. I have a securiy siren on my 17. I would like to remove the siren to put it on the 18.

I have my key fob with me. I pulled the main fuse. Siren went off and stayed on. Put fuse back in, turned ignition on to reset the siren. Then I unplugged the siren, and it stayed on till I plugged it back in. I reset the siren with ignition again. OK. What is the secret of pulling the siren out so I can transfer to the 19? I don't have the 19 as yet. I don't want to give the dealership my siren. Thanks. Jerry

Have the dealer tranfer it to your new ride. It's know big deal for them.

To make sure I am following your procedures correctly, have you tried this. Switch "off" , fob present, turn to ignition on, wait for boom box and all to boot up, then pull the main fuse with the ignition still in the on position.

This is the way I always do it when I am working on something to kill all the power and silence the alarm. I have never tried pulling the siren speaker module at this time, but I would think it would remain silent. Of course, I have been wrong several times.

I guess reading the owners manual is what I'm supposed to do. Yep, Turn the key to ignition, with key fob close, pull the main fuse. Worked like a champ. I also took the battery out of the module. Just have to wait till I get the new Trike. Thanks Hmmmm.

Don't have the siren on my TG but had it on four different CVOs I had. As you said the ignition must be on with the fob present. This disarms the security system. Then you can safely pull the main fuse without triggering the siren. But rather than pull the fuse with the system under power what I do is after the system disarms turn the ignition off and quickly pull the main fuse before the security system rearms. You have plenty of time to do that.
