    Default no mounting just yet.

unfortunately i ran into a problem. things don't get my full attention until i'm working on them or installing them. i would have normally caught this and had it fixed. the wire harnesses from the tail lights too the bike were at one time spliced, right next to the connectors at the light. the splice's have 2-3 wires left holding them together. one is a dead short. these must be fixed. sorry the electronics tech in me just cant back yard this. might need new harnesses they very old the wire is very old. at least this is an indoor job.

the damage is to great and the wires would end up short or to long and not fit. at $15 each new ones are on the way. waiting again.

more to come on the fenders later.

    Default 4fenders are on

the fenders are on, the brackets are on the holes are drilled the fenders line up centered the side covers line up and the seat fits. bolts fit in the holes and everything still lines up. i knew i was going to need longer bolts i got those but ran out of steam before getting the final bolts in. also still need to install the door and the exhaust. then wheels. the first pic is of the wires install and tucked up. yes everything works.

Default murphy is in charge now

murphy is in charge now, and kicking my butt with little shit. first i had mounting bolt issues and went to home depot twice. i thought the old bolts i had would fit, no i did not check( damn brain injuries). so i got those done and the fenders mounted. i went to mount the exhaust, i had bought short 3/8 bolts like all the rest for the exhaust. no i did not check them. when i went to install the 3/8 were too big so was a metric i tried. so i pulled the bolt holding the bracket and as soon as the 1/2 inch wrench fit i knew i was going back to home depot for 5/16 bolts. i got that done and the exhaust is bolted up now. the door is on. the fenders and exhaust are finished.

so now im mounting the seat i set it on and the rear bolt holes just dont quite line up, they dont go down far enough. so i need to cut 2 more notches in the fender so the seat will fit. this is probably what broke the seat there from the other fenders, did not cut notch in old fenders. no real big deal ill have it done by end of day and get the wheels on.

update; i cut the notches then pushed the seat all the way in. its not the notches the fenders are to high in the front. still an easy fix just cant use the nice rubber mounts. will have to thin it down and just use washers. also need 2 people cant reach the inside bolt and underside bolt with one person. so brakes on.

ive been thinking, if i lower the front and raise the rear it will bring the front curve down and back. am i correct. it also just happens i have room in the back to go up and the front is a little tight and could come down. in my head it works i think?

update Thursday; well at least im not working today because i'm not able not because i'm waiting for parts or have no help. i got up this morning and could not move my body just had enough. i had help today but took a day off. so close and yet so far. i still wonder if i'm even going to be able to ride her i just dont think i'm strong enough anymore.

    Default guess what i did?????

a friend came by around 11, i was in no condition to work. but he is my most knowledgeable helper. so i went out side. we pulled the front mounts, we then put the seat on, then we respaced the front mounts with flat washers. we then tried to bolt them up, the bolts were very crooked. so i had to redrill the holes. so to recap the fenders and seat are on, now we put on the wheels, and took her off the jacks.

YUP JOY IS ON HER WHEELS. i rode her and discovered the rear brakes need to be bled once more for air. the good news is they pump up this time so no leaks just trapped air.

    Default Good job

    You did well and congrats!

Be careful if you back into a curb as those exhaust pipes stick out quite a ways.

Now go out and enjoy all your hard work!

my freind that did the painting help me bleed the front calipers rear lines. these lines are fed by the long lines and are the high spot on the frame. i got better peddle but it seems we need to do the rear. this is now covered by the trunk. the only way to get to the bleeder now is to jack it back up pull the right rear tire and then i'll have limited cramped access. i still have too tie things up on the upper frame around the steering. need to remove the dash and the inserts. she runs and rides smooth. the front brakes still work great.

thank you all i see the 24,000 + views wow thats a lot of support. it has helped me keep going, knowing there are people watching and cheering me on. lets go for an even 25,000 i still got a little work to do. she has not been on the road yet.

oh test riding her went well, i find out how much this is going to hurt my first road trip to the store. which will include taking my walker and walking at the store. i hope i make it home.

Does your trike still have the linked brakes from Honda?
