Hi All ya'all :

Have decided to try and get back to riding and feel a trike is just the ticket.

Had a Thorassac stroke three years ago , was not able to walk or stand for a while.

Thought I was done after almost 50 years of riding and club level road racing.

Sold my 1985 BMW R80, 2004 Road King Custom, 2005 Triumph Bonneville, and my Burgman 650 .

Spent a lot of time in rehab, a couple months in a wheel chair, then a walker , and now use a cane for stability.

Ride my exercise bike three days a week, and fight with the eliptical machine as often as I can stand it.

Tried a friends trike and have the bug to get out there again in the motorbike community.

I'm currently in the research stage, and it may take a while to convince SWMBO ( She Who Must Be Obeyed) that riding is the next best therapy for me and my worn out old butt.

Looking forward to meeting some of you on the road.

Hello!

:wave4:Douglas, Welcome aboard from SW Arkansas. Good to here you're on the mend and have a positive approach to life.

You might think about seeing if the wife would be willing to take a short weekend road trip on a rental trike? If she enjoyed riding with you on two wheels, chances are extremely high that she'd love the stability and comfort of a trike.ThumbUp Wish ya the Best!!

Doug, welcome to Trike Talk from West Virginia.:wave4:

Not H Potter

Welcome to the Gang from Western Colorado.

Love the nick name ... must be a fan of Harry Potter ... me too ... If I had a co rider ... I'd use that ... LOL ... might be a great name for a trike .. :D

The name comes fro an old British sit com called ; Rumpole of the Baily.

Mr Rumpole was what the Brit's call a "soliciter" .

He was a man of the people who for better or worse was married to "She Who Must Be Obeyed"

I started calling my wife SWMBO from that.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

WOW

All I can say is WOW , what a speedy and warm welcome to your forum.

Thank you to all.

I look forward to participating and have so many questions about trikes , but I'll look around for a bit and then find the proper place to ask them.

Best regards to all.
