Tour Pak Relocation

This thing (Pet Palace) is pretty big, and that's good ... LOL ... to get it to sit level, it needs to be on top of the "Air Wing" hump.

These will be lousy pics, and if you need, I can put our palace on the bike and take a close up. But I took a short pc of pipe wrap...the Styrofoam stuff they use to keep the freeze off. Placed it inside the rack and it puts the Palace basically flat. Bought High strength Velcro strapping. She loves it up there. Depending on Temp depends on how many of the flaps are open. And ya have to trust me, that thing is solid up there! Wife tested! lol

Do you have the Air Wing Rack? Can you still get in the Tour Pak? Is that the big pet palace? If you wouldn't mind, could you get a close up of the mounting and foam? ... might be nice to see the foam and such ... when ya get a chance ... We are not going anywhere for awhile ... nursing my sick God Dog.

I bought the Kury filler pad several years ago and had the same problem with too short screws. I even call Kury and spoke to them about it. Kury is usually spot on with their products and it is disconcerting to see they still have not corrected this very evident problem.

Well they finally fixed the hardware problem. There were no screws in the package I just received.....it's not an oversight, because the Installation Instructions says kit includes 1 Relocator Pad. Didn't know 1 each could qualify as a kit....

Fuzzy, the REI reflective thingy fitted onto the top of the pet palace would be a good thing.

Even though the faring and YOU block a lot of the wind it might turn into looking like the Flying Nun back there with that sun shade apparatus stretched over it...

Well maybe I'm remembering it wrong. Perhaps it was the oem screws with the factory pad were too short and the Kury pad did not come with screws. In any case it should be obvious to them by now that they need longer screws that what were on there from the factory in order to install their pad. I do recall clearly how displeased I was to have to stop and go to the hardware store for longer screws and I did call Kury and complain. Maybe if enough of us did that they'd get the message.

I remember the tour pak relocation kit I put on my 17 Tri. Had to buy longer screws also. I just put a relocator kit on my 2019 Tri. When I bought screws for the 17, the screws came in a 4 pack. Luckily I saved them. Right on top of my took box. Life is good. Jerry

It looks well thought out, but it sure would add a lot of drag. IMO Before purchasing a trailer we used larger touring bags on our longer trips. On TWO is was a battle on windier days.

Maybe you need a "Harley size headset" or piped in music for the little guy.

I do tend to forget that Joanne sits in front of the carrier. Comes about 4" short of her shoulders...so wind is not an issue...Plus the Flip windscreen helps....And that said....Riding two up - and the trailer..drag is not an issue! Poundage is! lol

Here's the rub; step 3 installation says remove existing hardware and set aside. Step 4 says attach pad to tour pack using hardware removed in step 3. ......it's not a deal breaker, but would be nice to have a note stating longer hardware my be required.
