Parking Brake Install Hannigan / 1800A

Just received my "Parking Brake Kit". I have a 2004 1800A with a 2009 Hannigan Conversion. The kit came with no paperwork whatsoever. Just the caliper / cable / actuator lever/ and a small two bolt backing plate for the lever. I'm hoping to start the install in a couple of weeks but, so far, haven't even been under the bike. ( At 70 years of age and with a bad back, I don't crawl under very much any more. Takes ages to get back up. ) I'm looking for help or advice from anyone who has actually done the job. I know there are a few photos on this site but, they are for the left side of a Yamaha.

My question (s) would be: 1. Am I correct to presume that this "kit" installs onto existing suspension bolts and that is why it comes with no brackets of any kind. 2. If I am correct, does anyone have any idea of which ones and, if I am to remove and replace existing suspension bolts, the torque settings for reinstallation.

My Hannigan dealer in Kingston Ontario went out of business. The next closes dealer is a few hours away in Quebec and for some reason doesn't seem to know how to reply to emails. Next option is a two day ride away and all he can talk about is how complicated and expensive this job is which I tend to think is pure BS. I sent email to Hannigan but, as usual, they seem to have the same problem as their Quebec dealer.

Any help would be appreciated. I can plan ahead for the job and the Chiropractor afterwards....

Why would you ever need a parking brake?

Hello Kondor ..Did you install the kit from hannigan with a plate like the picture , i removed the plate and brake from my hannigan trike( kit 2009) in 2015 because the disk brake was heating and smoking. if you look at the picture the plate was the problem, i need a new plate if i can get one from hannigan.
