I would either remove the chain, the belt or disconnect the driveshaft... whichever drives your Trike. One good bump could drop it into gear and your tranny will explode.
Has anyone used the tow kit, front wheel off the ground rear on. to tow a trike over 500 miles?
I am worried how well it would work.

$1000 or less gets you a trailer.
Much better way to go.

I wouldn't pull a trike ... it will be at ground level ... right behind the tow vehicle ... trust me ... it will get beat up, rocks, sand, road debris, etc.
It's cheaper to buy a trailer. Than to repair the damage you will do to your trike by dragging it !
Not to mention all the crap your tow vehicle tiers will throw at your trike.
I am going to ride it, that is why I own it
