I had both knees replaced in 2012. That was the same year I started riding again after a 30 year break. 2012 was a GL1500 2 wheeler, and I recently got a GL1800 Trike. I haven't had any hip issues, so can't speak to that. Follow your physical therapist instructions and really work on your range of motion. You should be OK.
Thanks for your reply. Hopefully i'll be able to get back in the saddle again. We sure are missing it.
I've had both hips replaced, keep on riding, no problem.
I got very sick last year on the "Tail of the Dragon" and had to get helicopter'd out... I had a "full blown seizure" and couldn't ride/or drive for the next six months BUT I'm back and looking forward to this season's riding......."let the fun begin"!

I had one knee replaced in Nov 2017 and the second on Jan 29, 2019 ... rode three two wheelers in between, after this last knee ... I found my current ride, bought her 3/18/19 and have like 1500 miles on her since .. if you love riding ... don't let a few "bionic" parts hold ya back ... .. I'm doing what could be a 2000 mile ride on May 5 ... that'll be the test ... but I'm stocked with Aleve and some chemical ice packs ... should be fine ... LOL
P.S. My buddy (Don) had a hip replacement a few years ago, followed by throat cancer, then by a massive heart attack ... he still rides his Heritage Softail a lot. Helps me work on the bike when it involves getting on the ground. Just need to decide it can't beat you and do it.
