2019 Rear Shock Preload Setting...Did You Adjust?

My shock preload setting seems to ride pretty good, wife is happy, no bottoming.

I never removed the seat so do not know what they're set at

As nice as this is riding I see no need to mess with it

Is there a factory setting they come with? If you've checked yours, what was yours set at initially from the factory?

Did you change your setting? If so, What did you change to, and did it help?

Mine was almost all the way down (5) With the wife and me (360lbs) you could feel crossing bridges and some expansion joints, Got the book out, and went with there weight to number setting (23), and it was better but a little firmer. Now I set it down to (15) same weight, and the ride is better. The book settings seam a little to firm, But I'm sure when We load all the gear and take off, It'll need A little more adjusting.

Yes, I've changed my setting. Like Gold Nugget said, manual has setting by weight that are no where close to realistic.

So about 3 solo and 12 2 up for starters?

Was yours pre set to 5 from factory?

I don't believe anyone can give you advice without knowing your weights. The appropriate setting is based on two things-

Your Weight

What is comfortable for you...what is comfortable for one person is not necessarily for another.

Watching the video would really help out as you try and find the settings that will work best for you.

It's something you have to decide and play with, Try starting with 22-24 psi in rear tires, along with the setting you have at present. Than start riding and adjusting from there.

I'd start at 5 and go from there. If you don't bottom out on a big bump, try 4. If you do bottom out on a big bump try 6 and just keep going in 1 turn increments til you find that feels best.
