Since nobody has said anything lately, I figured I'd start. Is anyone planning on riding? I am! Did a 240 mile breakfast shakedown run, with the trailer, for a 2000 mile trip up into the mountains of Colorado in three weeks. Rick

I'd love to ride but, I sold my Stallion in February. Still waiting for the actual production of the Vanderhall Carmel to get started ! So if you don't mind, put in a couple of extra miles for me! Be safe and enjoy your trip. Tomg

Hey Tomg,

Did your Vanderhall dealership give you a approximate date for delivery and if so, would you mind sharing? I'll be listing my Stallion for sale on this forum as well as a few other places, but not till mid July, as I need to host an event during the Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally (July 9th - 14th). Be sure to post some pictures of your Carmel...!

Unfortunately no start of production let along delivery dates yet ! I'm sort of hearing June/July but nothing official. I did submit a couple of emails to a VP with several suggestions from a buyer/user's view which were brought to the attention of the engineering team for review and consideration . I'm hoping that they just might have agreed and are making minor changes before they put it out to the public. My opinion is make it more user friendly now rather than changes later and make the first buyers have to redo what can be fixed now. But I'm only one person. Hopefully others that are able to see and sit in the prototype have made comments similar to mine! Tomg

Just returned from my trip to Colorado. Had to take some detours because of a house sized boulder that came down on highway 145 and wiped out the road and missed Rocky Mountain National Park and Independence Pass because they're not going to open until sometime in the middle of June because of so much snow. We also didn't go to Estes Park because they were predicting rain and snow for the time we would have been there. All in all it was still a great trip. 1704 miles pulling the trailer up and down the mountains of Colorado and cruising on the highways with speeds of 80 mph on cruise I still averaged 32.16 mpg. I can't complain. The other three riders were riding GL1800 two wheelers. I raced one from 30 to 100 mph and I couldn't pull away from him, but he couldn't pull away from me either. I was pulling the trailer and he had only the bike. Surprised the heck out of him because I was over 1000 lbs heavier than him with the trailer. This Stallion is a great machine.

Here's a picture of the Stallion on the Million Dollar Highway at Coal Bank Pass. 10640 Feet. This was a detour because of the boulder. Not a bad detour if you have to detour. Rick
