For you guy's that grease I would recommend, removing the plug. I myself will change mine out at 20-25000 miles just to see what the grease looks like.
Next, I'll try to find out What grease Harley uses..

Note; in the service manual it state's: (Never add grease to the differential. The grease added at the factory lasts the life of the motorcycle.)

I'd like to know that as well. I've never seen lifetime grease. Especially in Texas where heat melts it.

Harleys need to come with a distractor button. Placed randomly on all models. It should be marked plainly do not under any circumstances turn on off or tamper with this button. This button cannot be serviced changed manipulated mutilated or tampered with. There are no user serviceable parts inside. This button would be placed for all the people that feel the need to fix something that isn't broke. It should have no purpose other than distract the owner. Thereby keeping him from ruining something important.
