    I was headed through Memphis last Friday and was close enough so I took a detour down to Red Banks, MS for a stop at DK. Natalie came out when I pulled up and I told her who I was and she said "you're the guy with the wings".

    Natalie and Dawn handle customer service and between them they know their stuff and they remember their customers. I think I got to meet just about everyone and got a tour from Kevin. Devin told me about production using the Haas CNC machine. I got to watch the first couple of passes on an oil filter mount for the relocation kit. I was amazed at their ability to innovate. Devin makes all their tooling to enable them to duplicate parts with exact precision.

    It was really interesting to hear how DK was started and how they have progressed from building a custom handle bar for a bike Kevin had to where they are now. Another thing I was impressed with was the reminders of how important customer service is hanging around the offices.

    All in all I really enjoyed my visit at DK Custom Products and came away very impressed by the people providing us with high quality products for our Harley's.

    Kurt, I found Trike Talk a few months before I purchased my 2018 TG in September, 2017. I saw all the posts and great info from Kevin and like you thought I'd sure like to meet him, Devin and all the other folks there. Imagine my surprise when I saw they were in north Mississippi just about 40 miles from my home. When I contacted Kevin about a visit he was most gracious, offered to let me test ride his TG and even had Mary come up to the shop to meet me.

    Since that time I've been honored and fortunate to call him a friend and have had many chances to visit and talk to him. And like you I am just blown away with Devin's capabilities in product design and manufacturing.

    All of us are fortunate to have such a fantastic resource available and with such great products that enhance our riding experience.

    Thanks for your post and for reminding me of all the above.

    My first ever trike was my 15 Tri (the original Fat Bottom Girl), My first purchase was a lift kit from DK. I ordered it online like 4pm Colorado time. I had no idea what the difference was between the standard and the comfort. I went with the standard because it was "Standard".

    The next morning I get a call from Dawn (what a sweetie she is) asking if I was sure I ordered the right kit for me. I told her, "The reason I wanted it was because I was tired of the pipes dragging and it looking like it had a load in it's pants". A "Fat Bottom Girl with a load in her shorts", just not a pretty sight.

    She spent a lot of time (20-30 minutes) explaining the differences and pros and cons of the two. Yep, I ended up with the comfort lift. Since then, I've had many interesting conversations with her .. and a couple with Devin (about crank case vent systems). Never owned a standard Lift, but, 4 days before I actually picked up the 14 Tri, I ordered another comfort lift for her and the rider board relocator kit.

    Not sure I've ever talked with Natalie ... but I must I have ... One thing is for sure ... I have never had anything but positive experiences when dealing with their customer service ... and their products always "fit" and work as advertised.

    Around 4 months or so after getting the lift kit and lots of other stuff (I know a Power Vision and other stuff), One Saturday, I get a call from Kevin out of the blue. I'm ashamed to admit I was a little upset he called (mainly cause I couldn't figure out how he got my number ... LOL). We ended up talking about him coming through Grand Junction and wanting to get together and ride and yak. We've been friends ever since.

    We (Mary, Kevin and Me) went to dinner the first night he was here. We ended up closing the restaurant, then spent about an hour in the restaurant parking lot talking about the trikes, then went back to his hotel room and yaked at the picnic table for even longer. Good Times.

    Since then ... we've always tried to meet if he was in my neck of the woods ... and I always end up driving back in the dark ... LOL ... we just yak and yak about basically trikes, bikes and whatever. Again good times.

    As always ... I'm way off track .. LOL ... but all the reasons I've listed above ... I really want to go see the shop ... put faces to the names and see how they manage this quality from what in my mind is not some huge factory complex ... I envision a small, cramped, chaotic, crew that works like a well oiled machine ... gotta be fun to see. Not to mention Kevin and Mary are some of my favorite people in the world ...

    Kurt .... what wings????? The bars?

    The Copper Plated Wings. By the reaction they got, I think they all like what I did with the Cooling Deflector Wings. It is really cool the way they get things done.

    I have order several items from DK Customs all ways fast shipping and high quality parts that fit and work great on my Tri glide. I would love to visit his shop sometime.

    I am another big fan of DK. They have been very helpful with any questions I have had. Because they make and USE the parts they sell, gives me confidence in their products. To date I have the 14" trike rear lift kit, EBS, floor board extenders, 1.5" tank lift, deflector wings & tour pac relocator. All great products. I even made a tour pac "backup" tether based on what Kevin & Mary did with their '14. And all the info / advise that Kevin shares, amazing!
    It is what it is.

    I agree with everything said on here. The folks at DK are the best in the business. I have spend several pay checks with them and the products are awesome. Dawn is a sweetheart and so helpful to make sure you are 110% happy.

    Great and very smart folks to do business with. Never a problem ever with anything bought from them. And I recomend them to all trike riders I run into and PaPa Zoosk too

    I will add my .02 here. I started buying from DK when I had my '14 TG; Comfort lift, Deluxe Tank Lift, Dual Cool kit, floorboard extenders. When I got the Comfort lift, the directions were confusing me about the emergency brake. I sent an email to DK, and got a personal email reply from Kevin that I had gotten the wrong set of instructions (pre-14) and the correct set was attached. This was late Friday on the 4th of July weekend! Right there I knew that I had found an organization that lives by Customer Service. I have continued with DK now that I have my '17 TG, and I can't say enough good things about them , their products and their people. Keep up the good work; you have a customer for as long as I can ride!
