Try eBay. Good price with free shipping and no tax on most tires. Lots of tire stores will mount and balance for a small fee.
Getting close to replacement. Specs calls for 215/55R-16 Radial, or 225/45-17 as optional. Tire Rack is only showing 2 tires in 225/45-16 OEM size. Is there anyone on the forum that has replaced the OEM tires, if so, brand and size?

Maybe I did not post clearly, my point was, that my Road Smith OEM tires are 215/55R-16, Tire Rack has 1000s of tires, and only two of the size that I need, I find that odd. So my question was, is the 225/45-17 a suitable replacement for the 215/55R-16 that came with the kit and installed by the Trike Shop. The Road Smith Conversion Specification Sheet says that the 225/45-17 is optional, so I guess it will work. With all the tire spec numbers, it gets confusing, so I understand why I'm not getting reply's to the post.

I'm not brightest candle on the cake. So I may be missing the obvious. But. A 16" tire cannot replace a 17" or vice versa. Unless of course you change the rim.
Yes, that troubles me as well, that makes no sense. Guess I need to get with Road Smith and find out what they have to say.
Totally apologize for this thread, please disregard. I checked the owners manual that came with my 2011/2012 conversion tire sizes directly from the manual with out actually checking the tire sizes on the trike, big mistake on my part. The actual tire size on the trike is 205/65-16. How Road Smith could make that mistake and then compound it with some crazy optional number is beyond me. No excuse on my part, lesson learned, again, apologies all around.

Sure will, thanks.
Last year I replaced the original Falken tires my trike kit came with. I purchased General Altimax tires 205/65- 16.
Good information HotRod, thanks. Who did you get to mount them?
