Question about repairing a tri glide fender
I just returned from Rolling THunder and noticed that my left fender got scraped in the parking lot of the Pentagon. The force of the scrape caused the back side of the fender to crack and the crack is getting progressively longer.
My questions are, who do you go to to repair a fender? What is the cost for repairs?

Yes to both questions.
I have seen them on ebay. But I have perhaps the most expensive color to work on. Midnight Black. Plus the accent decals are under the clear coat. Might be cheaper to fix it than buy a whole new fender and have it painted.
I don't know about fenders but I suspect they would be similar to what I encountered several years ago. I had a scrape to the front fairing on my Ultra and contacted several recommended repair / painters. They were all within a couple hundred dollars of what I could get a new part from one of the many discount Harley dealers and that is what I did. Plus the down time and shipping costs made it a better choice to go new.
I had to replace the front fender on my 14 Tri glide last October. I banged into a car who pulled out on me and stopped short. Lady said she didn't see me. I think she was too busy talking on the phone. If I was about 15 MPH faster, I wouldn't be here typing this as she would have side swiped me. Oh the joys of a motorcycle. I got a bloody nose and a bruise as my nose and face made sure the windshield was still there, other wise every thing was good besides the fender and the forks. But hey, her insurance got me a new front end.

Anyhow, it turned out to be cheaper to replace the front fender. Problem is that Harley can take up to a month to send out painted parts.
So no trike for a month and a half for me. Got it back mid December. November is prime riding season here in Florida.
I go much slower in traffic now and I avoid certain roads.
Cant rely on motorist to actually look.

The one i wish i could have kept was my 68 Charger.....But alas it was not to be...
I sold it in 73 and it was rusting to dust by then...
