That's What Friends Do........
Okay, so last fall (before the second knee replacement) I closed a customers pool. Told her in about 6 hours, to close her cover. Six and a half hours later she called and told me her cover was broke. It had broken a nylon bearing that holds up one end of the drum. I told her I'd order the part and put it in when she opened the pool (I got the cover closed for the winter).
So, then the knee happened and I sent out my retirement letters. On her's I wrote I would open her pool and fix the cover for free when she opened. (I don't want issues with the Government, since my license is now invalid).
Well ... the job turns out to be way bigger. Been working on it two days now. Now I need to have a machine shop make an extension for her cover reel ... gonna cost me a few sheckles.
Seems the concrete on both sides of her pool has sunk on the outside edges making the braces swing out and causing the reel to be 2.5" too short.
Oh well, she's been a good customer for almost 20 years ... and a friend.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

OK Fuzzy, commendable, but remember the old adage, 'no good deed, etc."
I think that played out today ... LOL ... read my post about today on the little trailer.

Did so read 'cause I subscribe to your escapades, seems your religion was sorely tempted.
I appreciate the vote of confidence ... however ... I am as flawed (maybe more so) than anyone ... just know "He who is in me, is stronger that he who is in the World".
I have learned to trust that my Lord will take care of me just as He does the birds in the sky, and like them, I'm not gonna worry about things I can't control.

Oh my how I can relate, divorce is painful, three times for me, no more. I finally found one and the dreaded cancer thing came along. I learn slow.
I think I'm of the age that I can't handle anymore "divorce" type stuff ... I think marriage should be like driving ... you get a learners permit, in 6 months to a year ... if it isn't working and no kids, you walk away.
Although ... other than a riding companion ... most of the reasons I enjoyed marriage have passed ... and frankly, I think Harley is gonna make a great riding buddy ... LOL.
