I have a 2010 Triglide. It has a speaker switch but i have yet to understand how it works. It has 3 positions. How does it work?
To use it you must plug in a WIRED head set.
I believe without going out and testing:
Forward is off speakers and off headset EXCEPT CB only in headset.
Middle is speakers on for anything out of radio EXCEPT CB is in headset only
Rearward all goes to the speakers front and rear. CB overrides the other audios and comes out the speakers.
intercom is headset only and is not affected by the speaker switch.
If you did not have the CB on and no headset plugged in the Forward would be off middle speakers on okay and rear speakers on okay.
If you had the CB on and no headset you would only hear the CB in the rear position.
So bottom line the switch is more for when and where you hear the CB.
Table 19 in the manual of my 2013 covers it better, the above is just the basics.
