Anyone ever hook up their own remote car starter. Looking at them how hard is it ?

John, they are not that hard to install.. Just make sure it is for that make, model and year car...or truck... and follow the instructions.. ( I know read the instructions) I did it on one of my trucks about 5 yrs ago. and If I can do it I know anyone can...

I have been thinking about one of those also. I don't know if they make one for a diesel?
I tried to install a cruise control on a pickup a few year ago. The directions were not easy to follow.

I have purchaced a couple of Ultra Start brand remotes and have had no problems. We have one of them in our 04 GMC Duramax diesel and it works fine. I have always had them installed by the shop where they were purchaced, although I could do it myself I believe they they are more apt to the latest tech bulletins on specfic vehicle models that the package may not.

My Subaru SVX originally had power door locks . Now they no longer work. I was wondering if the Auto start would make them work? how are they hooked up ?
