If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

My flag hangs daily on the wall in my apartment, the AW's don't want us hanging anything on the front door any more. Ever since the new partner came in the tenants have been going through H3LL. They cannot tell me what I can and cannot hang on my walls.

Never mind... I can now see your solar power attached to it. I have just done a google search and am finding that most residential flag pole packages do have the solar power - which of course would be the most economical. Mine is obviously a much older power package. Hhhmmmm... may have to look into solar kits...
In this house I just moved to, I have the same flag/flag pole setup. It lights up at night. - ASWESOME look at night. The light is not shining during the day. Just wondering though.... is it very costly to run this light all night? I can unplug it in the garage if I don’t want it shining at night...but it sure is a stirring feeling to look out at night and see it. Thanks.

See what kind of bulb is in the light. If it is incandescent, replace it with an LED bulb. Typical 60 watt replacement only uses about 8 watts for the same light output. Make sure to get one that is applicable for outdoor, damp locations and dimmer compatible.
Tom... thanks much for your response and advice!
