Re USS BILLINGS, I'm working with a Len Murry, he says the list for attendance is officially closed, but he might be able to do something to get the wife and I and on, we'll see how it goes. I read in Navy Times how the original officer assigned to captain the BILLINGS did damage to a Canadian ship when doing a docking maneuver, lost his job.

I hope they can get you tickets. Seeing the ceremony on the laptop is okay, but getting to be there and see it is even better. They should make an exception as you are a Navy Veteran.

When I read that I was like holy cow, we wind up with points on our license and an increase in insurance.

Speaking of Ships.......A few years after the Japanese lost the war....The asked the US if they would be aloud to rebuild a New Navy....And they were given permission 'But with one stipulation......All their new Navy Ships had to be equipped with Glass bottoms....

So this way they could see their old Navy Ships.........

Yes, thanks for the tip. Looking forward to a new experience, won't be on the cheap, but an experience. I'm guessing they have commissionings down south from time to time, so maybe we will catch another one later on if this one works out.

No I'll have to pass on that one too. Renting an RV is expensive and my plans were to rent one to go to Florida to view both ceremonies the one on July 27 and August 3. My laptop seems to be the cheapest way to see the ceremony. . I may just buy a large monitor for the laptop.
