welcome to trike talk from east Texas, if this is you first good trip I would say don't kill your self trying to get there/. Tampa to Helen is around 550 miles. it can be done in one day ( a long day) probably 11 hr or more, with gas stops, meals & just rest, I would say 2 day, to easy days 275 miles a day, you can stop a few time and see the sight or what ever, and be rested when you get there. we have done the iron butts 600 and even 700 miles in one run. but was wore out when we got there . now that I am older I take it easy 300- 350 is enough.

welcome to trike talk from east Texas, if this is your first long trip, I would say don't kill yourself getting there. Helen is about 550 miles from Tampa. it can be done in one day ( long day) if it was me I would do it in 2 day, that's 2 easy days, give you time to smell the roses. after you have a few trips under you belt you will know what a good day is and plan better. nothing like a long ride and wore out when you get there. time in the saddle is the best teacher. you have fun.
