If you don't grow up by age 60, you don't have to....
Hello All,
I recently bought a 2005 Ultra with Lehman kit. The original owner was nice enough to furnish ALL the paperwork he had on it. Most all of the work was performed at a HD dealer.
The list from the HD dealer lists a LCK5039 triple tree kit for $999.00. I can't find any info on this kit. Does anyone know what kit this is?
Thanks Roy
I finally got my trike back with Zook's rake kit installed.
What a difference!!
It really is the difference between manual and power steering. I used to have to lock my extended arm to hold the handle bars thru a turn. Now it takes no effort at all. If anything, it might even be too easy to turn. It's probably just that I need to get used to the new feel.
Thanks, Zook, for a good product and thanks to my mechanic for installing it. He billed 4 hours for a total of $280 which also included installing Kuryakin lower wind deflectors.

Hello billy:
My name is paul Combe.
Who made your kit?
I am wanting to trike my 1989 tour glide ultra with the paucgho style conversion kit.
Last time i checked the co. didnt make a swing arm to fit a bike that old.
Do you have the name of a reputable manufacturer that could make a swing arm for me?
Or perhaps send me link to who made yours?
Thanks paul combe
i have the same problem with both my hands and wrists....changed my hand clutch to a foot clutch and made me a jock shift. the hearest part was making the bracket for the clutch cable line up perfectly. all this was made from my toe and heel shifters and a piece of 1 1/2 angle iron and i used my stock clutch cable. jockey shift is bolted directly to my trans. works great. have pics for anyone that would like them. i also found a set of handle bars 8" rise that were bent so i don't have to bend my wrists to hold onto the bars which really helps a lot.
Raking the trike will definitely help with steering. How much rake to add depends on the original rake of the trike. I find around 38 degrees total works well.
We had the wife's Heritage triked about a year ago and she has never really been happy with the twisties. It was giving her a pretty good workout so she was wanting to stay on the straights more & more. Well you know that can get pretty boring so after much research & talking to Zook about it I ordered one of his kits.
I received it on Monday evening, installed it Tuesday with no issues at all and tried it out this afternoon. We rode about 40 miles of mostly flat curves that had posted speeds of 35 - 50 mph. She was easily taking them at 10 - 12 mph over that and said it required at least 50-60% less effort.....very satisfied to say the least!!pepper She said it was much more enjoyable to ride!!
So if any of you are considering a rake kit....don't put it off any longer!! It can be easily installed by most anyone with a little mechanical aptitude and a few hours to kill...........DO IT!!!

One last quick update.....we rode some more twisties/sweepers today in some hilly country. These were 40-60mph posted curves with good embankments, ascending & descending.....the fun stuff!! The new rake kit from Zook made even more difference than first expected. The wife said that she could have easily taken those curves with 1 hand. She said she was just giving a little push with her outside hand....near effortless!!
We rode these same roads before the rake kit and she was complaining of being wore out within just a few miles......today, no complaints after at least 60-70 miles of those tight sweepers!!
Thanks again Bazooka for a great recommendation!!

I read all of these posts because I am considering the rake kit. Zook I see you include fork extension tubes with yours. How or does that affect spring length? and while you got it tore apart should you upgrade the springs and associated components? I have an '07 Ultra with a Lehman Renegade.
The Tri-Glide stock triple trees adds just a 2.75 degree rake, very conservative and thought it helps a bit, it is hardly the optimum setup, ask the dozens of Tri-Glide owners who have changed out their stock trees for my 5 degree trees. When you factor in the additional components needed to make the kit fit properly on a non Tri-Glide, you will have very close to what I sell a 5 degree billet rake kit for, and my kits come with fork extensions, which keeps the trike level and the Tri-Glide trees do not, it drops the front end. Its a no brainer in my book.
The +5 degree (total of 9 degrees) Tri-Glide trees are among my best selling trees and I have had zero issues with any warranty claims. The Tri-Glide owners love them. They eBay their stock TG pull off trees and get half their money back.
The fork extensions do not affect the spring length at all. I do not recommend changing the stock springs, though that is a personal choice. So install stiffer springs and are satisfied with it, some change it and dont like it and go back to the stock springs. The stock setup is more than adequate and gives the most comfortable ride IMO.

Hi Zook,
We have a 2011 Tri Glide Ultra Classic and find it necessary to make the steering easier. Is your kit still available and essentially complete so no other parts or accessories would be needed? We ride all through the Smokey Mountains, NC, Tenn. etc each summer.
It's getting more difficult to take the Tail of the Dragon turns with my ole arthritic hands any more.
Let me know if it's still available, the price and I'll call to order one if available.
