Looking for any advice on changing Tri Glide front brake pads

I have to change my front brake pads very soon and I was looking for any tips about where to buy and what to buy. I just had my front tire replaced at a local Harley dealership and Any they wanted to do the brake pads but the labor and parts were just too high for me to stomach. The Harley pads were over $120 and $100 for the labor. Everything I see on YouTube shows that it is a fairly easy job to do yourself but nothing about a good set of non Harley brake pads. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated!

EBC brale pads have worked great for me. I have 52k on my 13 TRI and have changed the factory's out at around 10k with EBC's and the EBC's out for another set just now at the 50k service. EBC has 3 grades of pads look at the write up for each and how it matches up with your riding. I use HH pads. Good Luck

best I've found is EBC HH Sintered, all I ran on my two wheeler and will be putting them on my trike

Many good recommendations for the EBC HH sintered. They will give you the best service life & performance.

Don't forget the brake fluid flush after the pad swap.

When i did my brakes on my 11 Tri....I used the EBC HH, Also you will need an External Torx socket to remove the one external star bolt on the caliper.....For some reason i'm thinking 11mm....But i could be wrong on the size, Its been a few years since i changed brakes on a Tri-Glide...

A 12 point 10mm socket fits that bolt. If you dont have a 10mm 12 point in your socket set, one can be had at Home Depot, I keep a couple of spares in my box as they always seem to hide themselves just when I need one.

All finished with my new front brakes. I did get the EBC HH pads as suggested. The first set that I installed had me scratching my head as the larger disc pad retainer bolt didn't want to go through the hole on the new pads. After some messing around, I thought I would if I went ahead and mounted the caliper I could use some gentle tapping and then it would screw in. I was right. The second pad went on much easier than the first as I had a process perfected and it took about 1/4th time. I was a bit concerned that the hand brake took about 20 pulls before the brake pressure came back but once it was back, it was strong. Took a test ride around the block and everything was working great.
